THERMOSTAT TIPS

Your thermostat is a valuable tool to help you save energy and make your home more comfortable.”

Here are some tips for top efficiency:

  • Set your thermostat at 67-70 degrees during the daytime and 60-65 degrees at bedtime or when you’re away for the day. If you are gone for more than two days, you could set it at 55 degrees.
  • You won’t heat your house faster by turning the heat up high; it just wastes energy.
  • Consider a new thermostat. Older thermostats are often not as accurate, so they can cause unexpected swings in room temperature or make your heat run more than necessary. *
  • A programmable thermostat makes saving energy automatic. Just set it and forget it.

If you have questions regarding the efficiency of your thermostat or are ready to replace your old thermostat with a new programmable one we are here to help. Call the professionals at AAA Air Supply Heating and Cooling.

*(Older thermostats often contain mercury which requires hazardous waste recycling. AAA Air Supply will take care of this for you if we install the thermostat).
